The Full Story

If you had told me years ago that I would become a therapist, I probably would have smiled and said, "That makes sense." Even from a young age, I found myself drawn to people and their stories. I genuinely wanted to understand what others were going through and help them feel less alone in the process.

As a Christian, my faith has always been central to how I view people and life's challenges. I believe we are created with purpose and value, but I also know that living in a broken world means we all face struggles that can leave us feeling overwhelmed, discouraged, and stuck. My own journey has included seasons of anxiety and depression, times when worry seemed louder than peace and when self-doubt clouded my ability to see clearly. Those experiences deepened my understanding of what it feels like to struggle internally while trying to continue meeting the demands of everyday life.

Through faith, support, and personal growth, I learned that healing often begins when we become willing to examine the thoughts and beliefs that shape our emotions and behaviors. This is one of the reasons I am so passionate about Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT aligns closely with Biblical principles such as renewing our minds, focusing on what is true, and taking unhealthy thoughts captive rather than allowing them to control us. I have seen firsthand how identifying and challenging unhelpful thought patterns can create meaningful change, helping people move from fear to confidence, from hopelessness to hope, and from simply surviving to truly living.

Today, it is both a privilege and a calling to walk alongside individuals as they navigate life's difficulties. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, grief, or a significant life transition, my goal is to provide a safe, compassionate space where you feel heard, understood, and supported. I don't believe therapy is about fixing people because I don't believe people are broken beyond repair. Instead, I see therapy as a collaborative process that helps uncover strengths, build resilience, and create lasting change.

When I'm not working with clients, you'll likely find me spending time with my family, enjoying a quiet evening at home, or watching a good movie. I'm very much a homebody at heart and appreciate the comfort and connection that come from slowing down and being present with the people I love. I also enjoy planning events and creating meaningful experiences that bring people together. These simple joys help keep me grounded and remind me of the importance of balance, connection, and finding beauty in everyday moments.

I know that reaching out for help can feel intimidating, and finding the right therapist can be a vulnerable process. My hope is that when we meet, you'll feel welcomed exactly as you are. Whatever your story holds, you don't have to walk through it alone. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you pursue healing, growth, and the life God has called you to live.
